Apply for Support

Applying to Bright Ideas Trust is a simple process. If you think that you have a bright business idea, the commitment and enthusiasm to see it through to success, and meet our eligibility criteria, we may be able to support you.

Take the first step

All you have to do is complete and submit our online application form. We will acknowledge it's receipt and let you know within 10 working days whether or not we can take your application forward.

We select businesses upon their potential to succeed, so make sure you put as much relevant information into the form as possible. The form can be saved at any time and you can return later to complete it. Upon completion of the form, you can also email us with any additional information, such as a business plan, as this will aid our decision making process.  Just reply to the email confirmation which we send you with anything else you think might be helpful.

If we think that we can help you, you will be invited to a telephone interview so we can find out a bit more about you and your business idea. This will last about 30 minutes, and will cover the main aspects of your business idea, and why you think Bright Ideas Trust should support you.

Following a successful telephone interview, you will be invited in for a face-to-face meeting, where we will further investigate your business idea and how Bright Ideas Trust could help you take your idea forward. We may require further meetings and more detailed information from you to clarify everything.

Once these steps are complete, we have a final review of your application and if this is successful we will make you a formal written offer of support.
