Business Advisors provide their help on a pro-bono basis, either as part of a volunteering programme organised by their employer or as a personal philanthropic/charitable contribution. Advisors come from a wide variety of backgrounds and include employees of professional services practices, managers and employees of small and medium-sized firms and individuals.

We have a ‘pool’ of Advisors who offer this support, either on a planned and regular basis or at short notice on an ad hoc basis. Advisors work directly with beneficiaries to help them with particular problems and issues and in this way allow the beneficiary to ‘learn by doing.’

Each of our beneficiaries has access to the hands-on, specialist guidance that they may require at different stages in their development lifecycle.

We have partnerships with a number of organisations that operate staff volunteering programmes in support of our beneficiaries. We are looking to build on this capability by adding a number of new partners that can offer advisors to our Advisor pool.

Ideally, an Advisor volunteer has a minimum of 2 years experience within their specific area of expertise/ discipline. We usually request that each advisor volunteer is available to provide between 3-5 days of their time spread over a 12 month period.
