Margaret Mountford (Chair of Trustees)
Margaret was one of Lord Sugar’s original advisors in The Apprentice, leaving in 2009 to continue her PhD in papyrology at University College, London, studying documents found in Egypt and written in ancient Greek. She sits on many boards and is chair of governors at a London school.
Tim Campbell MBE (Co-founder)
Winner of The Apprentice (series one), Tim worked for Lord Sugar for two years before leaving to start his own enterprise. Tim divides his time between speaking engagements, various business interests and his role as the Mayor’s Ambassador for Youth. He was awarded the MBE in February 2012 for his efforts to encourage enterprise.
Simon has worked with a variety of clients such as Unilever, Reckitt, Booker, KwikSave, Boots and Danone, and is currently Managing Director of Accenture’s Products operating group in the UK and Ireland. Accenture’s Products operating group serves a set of consumer-relevant industries including retail, consumer goods & services, life sciences, automotive, industrial equipment, infrastructure & transportation services and air, freight & logistics and travel services.
Riaz is a senior partner at Ernst & Young and is passionate about social enterprises, particularly those focused on entrepreneurship and education. Alongside Bright Ideas Trust he is an active supporter of several social enterprise projects including Common Purpose, Mosaic, Kiva.org, and Adab Trust. Riaz chairs an educational charity called One Degree (http://www.myonedegree.org). He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Bradford University’s School of Management.
Richard trained as a barrister, and then worked for seven years in investment banking before co-founding the consumer-comment-driven Harden’s Restaurant Guide Book publishing business in 1991.
Our youngest trustee is an Oxford graduate who is Marketing & Communications Director at GoCardless, a rapidly growing financial services start-up which is transforming the direct debit industry.
Therese was Director of Talent at the National Skills Academy before taking up her current position of Head of Student Engagement & Enhancement at Kingston University. She had also led Careers and employability services.
